Think back, probably about 6-7 years ago, and WEN Hair Care by Chaz Dean was a HUGE rage. My MIL was an avid user and gave me some to use as well.

Unfortunately, WEN wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. If you used or purchased WEN, you could be entitled to CASH COMPENSATION.

The Class Action

A Class Action lawsuit was filed against Chaz Dean, Guthy-Renker LLC and WEN, alleging the product caused certain users to suffer personal injury including hair loss, hair damage and/or scalp irritation.
On May 31, 2019 a settlement was reached and funds have been allocated to distribute to Class Members.

Who Can Receive A Payment

Any persons in Canada are eligible to make a claim if you used or purchased WEN hair care products.

You DO NOT need any documentary proof to make a Tier 1 claim. If you have proof adverse reaction you may be entitled to additional compensation.

How Much Will I Get

TIER 1 – Tier 1 Class Members are Canadians who purchased and/or used WEN hair care products. You do not need any proof of purchase or adverse reaction. Complete the Tier 1 form to be eligible for $25 in CASH COMPENSATION.

TIER 2 – If you have documented proof (photos, video, drs visits, etc) that you suffered an adverse reaction & personal injury due to WEN, you will be entitled to additional compensation, up to $10,000 (relative to the injuries sustained).

Payment Particulars

You have until January 30, 2020 to submit your claim.

It can take up to 1 year after the claims deadline for payments to be issued as each claim has to be individually verified & the monies allocated accordingly.
