Many of you may remember the NuGlow Skincare Sample that we posted on Jan 10th, well I have some bad news.

A few SaveaLoonians have let us know that NuGlow has sent out emails saying that they will, in fact, not be distributing the samples. Thanks to Michelle for sharing this email with us:

Imagine our surprise when we went from giving away 10 to 15 samples a day to over 30,000 requests in less than 24 hours!

Dear Michelle,

We’re really sorry but what was supposed to be a very small campaign to provide samples to a limited number of people on FaceBook was taken over by FreeBee sites before we had a chance to turn it off. We’ve spoken with our suppliers but there is no way we can get these samples in a reasonable time frame. However we’re going to try and make it up to you in one of two ways.

#1: We will send you a 30 Day supply of our Serum for the cost of shipping & handling. For just $8.95 we’ll ship you a .5 oz bottle of our Copper Peptide Serum with MD3 Copper with no strings attached. You will not be enrolled in any auto shipment programs, there is nothing to cancel or return. Click here to learn more.

OR

#2: You can select any products on our site, individual products or kits and get 50% OFF the already low club price. This offer is only for internet orders and will expire on Monday February 27th 2014 and the offer will not be repeated. To receive your discount you must use code 50OFF at checkout.

Once again please accept our apology; it was never our intent to deceive the public with a phony offer. Had we known that there were over 300 FreeBe websites that grab free offers and publish them without your permission or consent we never would have put the offer on FaceBook.

Sincerely,

NuGlow

Now, this has happened before and I had no issue with the companies decision at all. We have a HUGE & very active community, who LOVES samples and sometimes, companies can get overwhelmed by the demand. But, this email kinds of irks me. Here’s why:

First “FreeBee” and “FreeBe”, really?

Second, no body “took over” the offer. It was posted on Facebook (which just so happens to be a social sharing site) & it went viral. By normal standards, this would be considered a success!

Third, there was NO WHERE on that form that indicated that there were only 10 – 15 samples a day, nor did it indicate they didn’t want it posted on Freebie Sites. We’ve had offers shared with us in the past where this is specified and we do the right thing, and not post them!

Fourth, it is unrealistic to think that we contact every company that offers a sample to verify that we are actually allowed to order it?!? Um, isn’t that the whole point in offering samples?!? And it’s our job to find and share those freebies. I just don’t see how we were in the wrong here.

Anyways, sorry to be the barer of bad news! What are your thoughts on this? Share them with us on our Canadian Coupons | Free Samples Canada FB Page!
