It has been a fun weekend for shopping! We were only after one big score but man oh man did we ever SCORE!!

We had a bunch of family up visiting this weekend and we all wanted to take advantage of the Nestea FPC deal. So 4 of us took off shopping on Friday and wound up bringing home a total of 34 cases of Nestea!

We all started at Walmart and each bought a “Starter” case with the FPC inside. Unfortunately, those were the only specially marked cases in the place. So we grabbed them up and headed to Shoppers Drug Mart. They only had 5 cases at SDM so we each grabbed one. There was another lady standing in line who spotted us each with a case. She commented that Iced Tea must be on sale. I explained the offer to her and she went and grabbed the last case!

After SDM, we went to No Frills. They had 15 or so cases but most of them were on the top shelf. We grabbed the few cases we could and at the checkout I asked the cashier if she could get someone to get them down for us. She VERY rudely replied that she would only get them down if we were actually going to pay for them. So we went back in and my sister-in-law actually wound up having to scale one of the shelves to get 4 more cases down. We went through a different cashier for the second transaction. After that we left with the remaining cases still on the shelf.

Our final stop was Rexall. I couldn’t believe how many of the specially marked cases we found! We found the manager and explained what we were doing. He was great and had absolutely no problem but explained that they had a 6 per customer limit but that was more than enough for us! Between the 4 of us we grabbed another 18 cases. It seemed like a nasty cashier kinda day because even though the manager didn’t seem to have a problem this young cashier did. We offered her a free cases for her patience and instead of either graciously accepting or declining she instead replied “No I don’t want any but I’m sure there are other people that would”. Don’t get me wrong. I can completely understand where she was coming from but we weren’t doing anything wrong. We were obeying store policy and not abusing the coupon. I also explained to her that the majority of it was being donated. She did lighten up a little more closer to the end but nonetheless I don’t think the hostility was necessary. Besides we left well over 30 marked cases there!

That being said we were all so excited to come home with our scores! Each of us took 5 cases for our own supplies and the remaining is all being donated to our nephews sports teams! It was so much fun being out with family, getting freebies and donating all at the same time!

These are the bins of cans we donated to the boys’ teams.

In total with everything we paid and all we got for free this is how the breakdown looks:

Retail Value: $254.66
OOP: $13.32
Savings Of: $241.34 ~ 95%
