YAY!!! What an amazing shopping day!! Go a whole lot of stuff for FREE!!!! Isn’t that the best way to start a beautiful weeked by getting some great shopping deals.
As I’m sure many of you have found the new Aspirin coupon allows for some serious overage so we took advantage of it! There are some really amazing deals in the flyers this week but with the addition of the Aspirin overage we were able to get most of it free. I am already getting excited to start putting my Christmas donations together. Is that bad? LOL
So we started the day by heading over to Walmart. It has become such a convinient and hassle free place to shop I tend to try to not go any where else now. And it was no exception today. We got everything we wanted (had to adjust a little on the Aspirin as they only had 4 of the smallest bottles) and headed to the check out. We mentioned to an associate that we had alot of coupons and price matching. He pointed us in the direction of a cashier who was well experienced with them and opened a till up for us.
Unfortunately, cash out didn’t go quite as expected but that was an error on my part! As the cashier was ringing through my purchases and taking my coupon she noticed that 2 of the coupons I had given her were expired!! I couldn’t believe it, I don’t know how I missed it. I was pretty disappointed though, as they were the Green Works coupons I had picked up only a couple weeks before (they expired in March). Needless to say I was very embarrassed but asked to have the items removed from the bill. She said it wasn’t a problem and got the 4 items voided. Perfect example as to why you should always check the expiry dates on your coupons. Live and Learn!
