In reply to What?!. It is a generalization but the fact is the government makes it seem as though yall don't want to be a part and by making it so hard to be a part of things they are damaging their people. So, if no one takes action then it stays the same.

The anti-Quebec crowd in the ROC are not any better than the separatists in Quebec. We voted twice on separation and both times we voted NO. So people like you and the PQ need to stop brining in the separation debate into everything…. notice that this article has NOTHING to do with Quebec vs Canada issues – yet you somehow turn it into that…. always turning everything into an argument. We will never get peace that way!

Most of Quebec has given up on this! You think because the PQ is in power it will get stricter? That crazy loon only got a minority government and will be out shortly. Also don’t forget that the anti-Quebec crowd in the ROC are not any better than the separatists in Quebec. We voted twice on separation and both times we voted NO. Undeniably believe that that you said. Your favourite justification seemed to be at the internet the easiest factor to have in mind of. Poor “What?!”, they are correct and we should not paint everyone in Quebec with the same brush. Just because you are born and raised somewhere doesn’t mean you agree with their politics. It is sad Quebec is such a torn mess. Perhaps if they DO just leave Canada once and for all, they will have their taste of what they keep asking for. Then they will have to be a self-sufficient country, and not blame Ottawa for their ills. I wish they would separate, I am sick of a lifetime of hearing their idle threats. The people who still want to be a part of Canada will just have to move and start life over somewhere else. It’s do-able.

I’m sorry but it’s not everybody in Quebec that DOESN’T want to be a part of Canada. That’s just a generalization. The fact is that we still are a part of Canada, and when we see a contest that’s advertised towards Canadians, we want to be a part of it.

With the Quebecois in power, these rules will only get stricter and stricter. The Quebec government always blames their bad economy, worst in the country (even worse than here in Ontario), on the Canadian government for “not investing in the Quebec economy”. Maybe they should stop worrying about how to separate from Canada and start working on their economy.
