Well this is a first…. I don’t think I can recall of a makeup recall before.
Especially one that includes sample size products!
I thought this recall was pertinent to share as we did share a sample offer for this product back in September. I had literally just used my sample on Sunday, then saw this recall last night :-O
Benefit Cosmetics is recalling all lots of Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in three shades (01-Light, 03-Medium, 05-Deep). The product was sold individually, as part of a kit, and given away as samples.
Routine quality testing identified that some of the recalled product is contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. If introduced into the eye through accidental contact, this poses a risk of causing infections in individuals with compromised or weakened immune systems.
