You have mentioned everything I have been thinking and/or feeling for a while now. This latest giveaway I happened to be visiting my daughter in Ontario (I’m from New Brunswick) and applied on my own laptop using her internet connection. I realize I may not get one but that is okay as I will try for the next one. I appreciate all that the different bloggers do in letting us know about give -aways, samples, coupons and discounts and all that the different companies do in handing out free samples and great discount coupons. I do answer the surveys sent afterwards honestly and when I have given a sample away I mention that. I appreciate all that companies do for us, the consumers. Thank you blogeers for all the time consuming work you do for us.

Very well said! Unfortunately it seems we live in a culture where everybody wants everything for free and still aren’t satisfied when they do happen to luck in and get what they said they wanted. There are far too many out there as well who are abusing the good nature of the companies who are actually giving away freebies and samples and that leave less to share with others who might actually get more enjoyment the products/services than those who are just being plain greedy. Yes, the companies providing the freebies and samples are in it to try to drive more business there way, but that is only one of many ways they can try to promote their products and they can just as easily stop using this type of promotion and put their money to use in other ways. Then no one would get anything for free.
Thank you to both you and Ryan for all of the hard work and dedication you put into this website! It’s great to have a website I can look at that has all kinds of great information (and it was a nice surprise to see we live in the same city so I know the info on your site is definitely relevant to me 🙂 )

I agree with everything you said. You and Ryan are doing great work. These are hard financial times for a lot of people and the work you both are doing helps many of us. I see samples as a way of trying out a new product and also have a little fun with the Savealoonie community out there. I may miss one or two or more but then I think there’s always some new sample or freebie to come. I really liked Cierena’s comment about giving to charity. A lot of organizations who help those in need could use some of the items.

Totally agree with every thing you said. Everyone should remember that you and Ryan are doing all the hard work for us by letting us know when there is a freebie. We all should be thankful that companies are giving us an opportunity to try there products. Sometimes we are lucky and sometimes not . best of luck next time

I agree we have become entitled. I have been shocked in the past to see people complaining about the quality of free pillows! Or getting pissy about a computer glitch and not getting a free product as a result. One woman claimed she poured that product out to register her anger! Really people? Give your heads a shake. Thanks for posting this, I agree with everything you said. And people be sure to give feedback to the companies. This is advertising for them and if they don’t get feedback they will find another way to get the word out about their products.

I have said it a few times I love every thing you guys do u guys never take breaks! Even with the pasting of your father u were posting ppl need to take a chill pill and just stop with the bull sorry to sound mean but it really does make me mad you both do so much for every one with your help I was able to give over $300 in baby milk and locks to our food bank so just hate the haters back you guys realy are doing good!

Well said! One thing I’m always surprised to read in the comments on your Facebook posts are the number of people who brag about cheating the system and getting 2 or 3 or 10 of a certain sample. And then there are the people who get a sample just for the sake of getting one, not because they will actually use it (baby items in particular). I’m often offended on your behalf when I see people saying snarky things, blaming you because they didn’t get a sample or a coupon. You should be less nice in those instances 🙂

Totally agree with everything that you said. I see it differently. When I get samples, freebies, or a high value coupon, I see it as a personal victory because I know that not everyone can get these deals. I have missed out many times in the past but did not complain to anyone. These people should try to live in the country like I do. I miss out on ALL of the flyer inserts and samples sent through the mail. I have ONE expensive grocery store 15 minutes away and the closest discount grocery store is 30 minutes away. So I also miss out on many in store special because of the price of gas. EVERYONE, stop complaining and be grateful for what you have.

I love the free samples! I am happy to get whatever I get! It does suck when I miss something, but that is my own fault. It is generous of the companies to offer us the freebies in the first place. Thanks for keeping us all updated with the latest freebies & contests 🙂
