Walmart Canada and Health Canada are working together in a joint recall of the My Sweet Baby Cuddle Care Doll.
This interactive doll coughs, cries, giggles and gets red cheeks. The face, hands and feet are plastic and the body is soft. The doll is dressed in a pink outfit with green and white flowers and a matching cap. The doll comes packaged with a stethoscope, syringe, thermometer, spoon and medicine bottle. The doll can be identified by the following UPC 628915079777 and Item #30692735.
The recall is being issued as the internal electrical components of this toy may overheat and pose a burn hazard. Walmart Canada has received 6 complaints & Walmart in the US has received 12 reports of incidents involving this doll.
There were approximately 4,437 of the recalled dolls sold in Canada and another approximately 174,000 sold in the States from August 2012 to January 2014.
If you have an affected product, please immediately take it away from children and return it to your nearest Walmart for a complete refund.
