Finally! Someone has taken the initiative to start a petition to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for the amendment of contest & promotion laws!

Back in late October 2012, I wrote an article explaining Why Quebecers are Excluded from Contests. Although this article clarified the laws and rules surrounding contests in Quebec for many people, it also tends to create a political battlefield on our Facebook Page. PLEASE REMEMBER, we are a Canadian Couponing, Freebies, Contests & Deals website – not a place to voice your political views and beliefs. Please keep comments on topic.

Now that, that little schpell is done, back to the petition! It is open for all residents of Canada to sign, not just those living in Quebec. If you are unable to read the French wording here is the basic breakdown. The People are calling on the Quebec Government, more specifically, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, to amend the current regulations and allow all third parties wishing to, openly, freely and without restriction offer promotional contests available on the internet, to the residents of Quebec.

If you support this petition and your fellow couponers / freebie hunters living in Quebec, please take a moment of your time and sign! If we all ban together, change is possible! You have until November 9, 2013 to sign. Once you fill in your information on the petition form, you will be sent an email with a confirmation link. You must click that link in order to be officially counted on the petition.

Thanks Isabelle S & Isabelle G for sharing on our Canadian Coupons FB Page!
